Tribute to the Late Francis Ona
Far in the woods called Guava place
Runs your name in every tears
Another death to the many for Me’ekamui ‘the sacred island’
North Solomons sometimes we say
Concepts that did not separate us
Islands we truthfully protects
Solomon Islands knows you;
Late Francis Ona, We feel with the Bougainville people as we hear your passing away
Our Prayers and Condolence for your Family and former fighters of a freedom Movement
Now a new dawn for Bougainville political autonomous government; the cause must go on
Ahead lies the future for Bougainvilleans (and all of us) to look
A Rebel Yesterday; a hero today!
Goodbye Son of Me’ekamui
