Strange "Shrimp Fish" from Solomon Islands

These are some photos of one strange looking fish by which I called "Shrimp Fish" or "Ura Fish" (Solomon Pijin) found in the coastal sea of Marau Sound in a village called Marau'apa in the Solomon Islands, April 02, 2008.This fish is rare to catch and they say it is good to eat.

Wow!! thats a very strange looking fish,....I have never seen anything like it!!...keep up the good work! I think you should send those pictures to a marine biologist who could specify what we're actually looking at....is it really safe to eat?? hem look osem meat nomoa ba...klosap osem crayfish??

hello, I have seen the same kind of shrimp-fish here in the Philippines and they sell it in the market as normal local food.
